Special contribution

In the promotion of peace and security and in support of A.U and UN \r\n Peace support operations in Africa, Uganda has contributed:

\r\n

\r\na) Troops and Police Formed Units to Somalia under the A.UMission in Somalia (AMISOM); \r\n

b) Troops to the A.U –led Regional Cooperative Initiative Against the Lords Resistance Army (RCI-LRA);

\r\n

(c) Troops and Police Formed Units to Liberia (under the UN Mission\r\n -UNMIL);

\r\n

(d) Police and Prisons experts to South Sudan;

\r\n

(e) Military Observers to Sudan (under the UN Mission – UNMIS).
